Weston Park Primary School
in Southampton became a sponsored academy in August 2017 and under new leadership, it began a large-scale school improvement plan with the support of ͯÑÕÊÓƵ. Previously the school was rated ‘requires improvement’ and it had also been in special measures.
In December 2021, Ofsted inspectors rated Weston Park ‘good’ for the first time in its history. They praised the school for its transformation and acknowledged that the school had made huge improvements with regard to pupil behaviour, the delivery of the curriculum and how well pupils now learn.
Livingstone Road Infant School
Livingstone Road Infant School in Poole retained its ‘good’ rating in November 2021. Ofsted praised it for being a happy and safe school where the children feel valued. It also highlighted how the staff work as a united team to create an ambitious curriculum that engages and inspires pupils.
Livingstone Road Junior School
Livingstone Road Junior School in Poole was also rated ‘good’ in November 2021. Inspectors found that the leaders were ambitious for pupils and were determined in the belief that all can achieve. They also praised the carefully planned curriculum that supports the pupils’ understanding of their locality and helps them develop resilience and confidence.
Talbot Primary School
In January 2022, following a section 8 inspection, Ofsted recognised that Talbot Primary School continues to be a good school. Leaders have high expectations of standards and behaviour. Pupils rise to these: they work diligently and conscientiously from Reception to Year 6. Pupils enjoy school so attend regularly. Talbot was also identified as a hub within the community.
Glenfield Infant School
Glenfield Infant School secured its 4th ‘Good’ Ofsted rating in a row in October 2021. Inspectors found the school provides an ambitious curriculum that prepares pupils well for junior school. The staff’s warmth, dedication and high expectations get pupils off to a flying start. They also praised the children for following the school rules and being rightly proud of their respectful behaviour.
