2026 Bothnia Accounting & Auditing Seminar

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 2026 BACC Seminar in Umeå, Sweden. The seminar, organized for the third time, is a collaboration between the business schools in the Bothnia region. Thanks to a generous grant by the Handelsbanken research foundations (Jan Wallander och Tom Hedelius stiftelse, Tore Browaldhs stiftelse), there is no conference fee.

The programme will include research presentations and discussions, a keynote speech, and networking. We are honored to have two distinguished guests: the keynote speaker professor Christopher Koch (Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz) and professor Bjørn Jørgensen (Copenhagen Business School and Hanken).

The programme will start in the morning of Monday, June 15, and finish in the afternoon of Tuesday, June 16. The programme includes Main Sessions and Doctoral Parallel Sessions. Each Main Session includes 3-4 presentations, each with a designated discussant and time for questions from the audience. The Doctoral Parallel Sessions will include 4-5 presentations and time for questions from the audience. A conference dinner will be held in the evening on Monday, June 15 at the top floor of Clarion Hotel Umeå.
