Research into language and language use can take many forms. The Department of Language Studies organizes higher seminars within three research areas: literature, linguistics, and language teaching and learning. Our researchers work with historical and contemporary sources such as language databases, language maps, fiction, travel writing, digital texts, spoken language and much more.
Cognitive linguistics, metaphor, and embodied cognition are central research interests of Lacey Okonski.
