Apply for planning grants for EU applications

Umeå University offers planning grants to researchers who wish to coordinate an EU project or apply for an ERC Starting, Consolidator, or Advanced Grant. The purpose is to free up time and resources, giving you the best possible conditions to prepare a competitive proposal.

Subject area: Humanities and social sciences, Artistic research, Medicine and health, Natural and engineering sciences, Educational sciences

Funding body: Umeå University

Application period: 17 October 2025 - 30 June 2032

Grant amount: SEK 100,000–200,000

What can you apply for?

The planning grant can be used to develop:

  • Consortium applications: up to SEK 200,000
  • ERC applications: up to SEK 100,000

When can you apply?

Planning grants can be applied for at any time during the year.
