Future Faculty

Future Faculty is a network for the Faculties of Social Sciences and Arts and Humanities to support researchers in the early stages of their careers.

Future Faculty is a network for researchers who are at an early stage in their research careers and do not have indefinite term employment, such as post-docs and research assistants. However, the network is also open to all researchers who recently gained their doctorate and who want to work for better working conditions and career development opportunities. When you are new, it is important to have the opportunity to both build and strengthen your professional networks, which can lead to research funding opportunities.

Future Faculty aims to create a forum for networking and discussion, provide support in the form of thematically relevant workshops, and offer a mentoring programme for early-career researchers.

Examples of previous activities organised by Future Faculty include workshops on research funding. One of the main ongoing activities of Future Faculty is the mentoring programme for young researchers.
