In my research, I study sensorimotor function following anterior crociate ligament (ACL) injury, with emphasis on both proprioception and psychological constructs. In particular, re-injury anxiety is presumed to influence sensorimotor processing and resulting functional performance with implications on sports performance and recurring non-contant injuries among anxious and fearful athletes. My current work aims to better assess re-injury fear and anxiety among ACL-injured, as well as non-injured persons by implementing functional tests and measuring neurophysiological expressions of fear-related arousal.
