The aim of the last course of the program is for you to develop the skill of effectively communicating scientific knowledge to various audiences, including the public. This will be achieved through participation in a one-day conference where you deliver your research findings through different modes of communication.
The conference day requires 3-4 days of preparatory individual tasks conducted prior to the course week. Here's what's required:
Submit a popular science abstract or a draft for a press release/news article. Should be submitted a week before the conference.
Prepare a presentation for the conference day using your preferred mode of communication. Should be submitted on Monday before the conference.
Write and submitt a short reflection about preparing your presentation. Should be submitted on Monday before the conference.
