In a world facing multiple crises and growing challenges relating to academic freedom, gender research and critical research, it is crucial to have places in which to meet and share ideas. The aim of this conference is to provide an opportunity for feminist scholars to connect with each other and demonstrate the diversity of gender research conducted at Umeå University.
In 2026 two important milestones will be celebrated, 50 years of gender research at Umeå University, and the 25th anniversary of the Gender Research School, located at Umeå Centre for Gender Studies (UCGS). We invite scholars from all disciplines to contribute to a conference that highlights the diversity, impact, and future directions of the field.
Submission guidelines: Please submit an abstract (in English or Swedish) of no more than 300 words outlining your proposed contribution. We welcome proposals for panel sessions, roundtables and paper presentations. All abstracts and proposals are submitted to josefin.olsson@ͯÑÕÊÓƵ
