Agreements and asset management

What unique knowledge do the partners bring to the project? If the project produces a product or service, who will own it and who may use it? What aspects of the cooperation should be regulated by agreement?

Consider the following:

• What "background information” do you have, i.e., the knowledge that you bring to the project?
• How are the intellectual assets created during the project managed after its conclusion?
• What intellectual assets do you have that you might want to protect? 

Several different support functions can help and guide you in this process.

Review standard contracts for the programme in which the call for proposals is located. The standard contracts can provide guidance, although they are always adapted to each specific project.
