Title: Causal AI for Enhancing Trust in Home Care
Abstract:
Trust is critical in healthcare. It is multifaceted, encompassing both trust in services (e.g., care delivery and AI-supported decisions) and trust in people (e.g., individual caregivers or care teams in home care).
This seminar aims to foster discussion among participants on how causal explanation and intervention can enhance trust in home care services and caregivers, thereby moving beyond efficiency-driven optimization toward relationship-aware scheduling. A key question is whether optimizing for efficiency alone may undermine relational continuity and, ultimately, trust.
The discussion is open and will be shaped by the backgrounds and interests of participants.
