For many, cycling is part of everyday life, a way of getting around the city, moving between places, and travelling through the seasons. On 3 June, Umeå University marks World Bicycle Day and aims to highlight how even our small, everyday journeys can contribute to both well-being and a more sustainable society.
In collaboration with Umeå Municipality, a small activity will take place on campus. Keep an eye out near Infocenter for more information on how to take part.
You are welcome to stop by Infocenter during the day, where we will be there to talk about cycling, sustainability, and health. There will also be an opportunity to pick up a small cycling-related item as part of the activity.
We welcome anyone who is curious about sustainable ways of getting around, enjoys cycling, or simply wants to take a break during the day.
The day is organised as part of the university’s work towards a sustainable and healthy campus.
