I am a multidisciplinary researcher with expertise in analytical chemistry, microbiology, and astrobiology, focusing on biosignature detection and the metabolism of extremophilic microorganisms. During my Ph.D., I developed and applied advanced mass spectrometry techniques (GC-MS, LC-MS, MALDI-TOF) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) to investigate microbial secondary metabolites and biomolecules associated with extremophilic microorganisms. My research has provided insights into microbial biochemical adaptation mechanisms and their relevance to the search for extraterrestrial life.
Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher studying the interaction of microorganisms and microbial molecules with Martian regolith analogs using vibrational spectroscopy techniques, including Cryo-Raman.
My research integrates advanced chemical analysis and microbiology techniques to explore how organisms adapt to extreme environments and their implications for astrobiology. I aim to expand knowledge on biosignatures and microorganism-mineral interactions, contributing to research on planetary habitability and space exploration.
