I have over a decade of experience in advanced microscopy techniques, including electron microscopy (EM) and cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). My professional journey began during my master's and doctoral studies at Ghent University and the University of Helsinki, where I engaged in research utilizing state-of-the-art EM facilities. As a cryo-EM scientist at the University of Helsinki for more than two years, I specialized in high-resolution imaging and specimen preparation at cryogenic temperatures. This specialization was further enhanced by rigorous training at the Electron Microscopy Center at Rockefeller University, New York. This comprehensive experience has enriched my understanding of mouse models and conventional transmission electron microscopy (TEM), equipping me to tackle complex imaging challenges. Currently I work at the Umeå Centre for Electron Microscopy, where I provide microscopy services to researchers across diverse disciplines. I assist teams in optimizing imaging protocols, ensuring the collection of high-quality data, and contributing to the interpretation of biological phenomena through advanced imaging methods. I am passionate about and committed to scientific discovery within the field of electron microscopy.
