I am leading a research group dedicated to study and control the surface and electronic properties of functional nanomaterials.
I am leading the Nanostructured Functional Materials group which focuses on studying the surface and electronic properties of functional nanomaterials. Our work spans a diverse range of materials, from nanoparticles to nanotubes and 2D layered structures to nanostructured mixed oxides. We employ a combination of experimental and computational techniques, including spectroscopic methods for surface characterization and computational studies to complement our experimental findings. By understanding their atomic structure, we aim to engineer nanomaterials with tailored functionalities for applications in energy storage and conversion.
