I work as a Senior Communications Officer in the Communications and Student Recruitment team at the International Office, Umeå University. My work focuses on strengthening the university’s international profile through strategic communication, recruitment activities, and international collaboration. 

Key areas of responsibility

• Strategic internal and external communications
• International student recruitment for degree programmes and incoming exchange students
• Planning and delivery of events with an international focus
• Communication for the EC2U university alliance and the
• Participation in national and international higher education networks

With extensive experience in international communications, content strategy, and digital publishing, my work is centred on reaching global audiences. This includes:

• Website development and content management
• Content marketing and news production
• Planning and delivery of online events
• Communication oversight for large international academic events and collaborations

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and History from (NJ, USA), and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education Social Studies. Prior to joining Umeå University, I spent nearly a decade working in the US publishing industry as an editor of legal, news, and educational content. This background has provided a strong editorial foundation and extensive experience in international and cross-cultural environments.
