Microbial metabolisms in oxygen-deficient marine ecosystems.
I am a PhD student in Eric Capo lab and focus on microbial metabolisms in oxygen-deficient marine ecosystems using molecular (paleo)ecology approaches (metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, MAGs).
My research aims to understand their roles in biogeochemical cycles, with a particular focus on processes such as mercury methylation and anaerobic respiration, which are tightly connected to global climate warming, ecosystem balance, and human health.
